Bersatu Victory Party

Hey everybody!

The Bersatu Victory Party was a success! Why? Because everything that mattered most were there - the people and the food! :) I did, however, expect more of you to turn up but I guess those that didn't would have had valid reasons and if you didn't turn up cuz you were lazy... you missed out on some really good food!! :รพ~ Any regrets? Well, TOO LATE! Next time, turn up! Wahahaha!!

On a serious note, thanks to everyone that came! Huge thanks to those that were involved in the preparation of the food - it was very tasty! Made a few people home sick! Good job!

A special mention should be made for those that received an award from Azmir. Congratulations to...

  • Best team: Netball

  • Best captain: Fiqa

  • Best female player: Yani

  • Best male player: Nik
Regarding the photos taken that night, these can be viewed by clicking the link below:

Also, I found the videos that were shown at the opening and closing of the Bersatu Games on YouTube. Check them out. Personally, the last video was especially touching...
  • Opening Ceremony: 1 2

  • Closing Ceremony: 1 2 3
I guess this will be the last post, from me anyway. We've all had our share of tears, joy, laughter, fun. In the end, we got the glory! However, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you win or lose... all that matters is that you've given it all that you've got, gained personal satisfaction and taken something out of it.

Let's hope that next year's team will do us all proud again! If you weren't part of the participating CMSA contingent this year, sign up for it next year! It's an experience you'll never forget and you'll leave with some unforgettable memories! Here's to looking forward to Bersatu Games 2008 in Wellington...

On that note, I leave you with a few photos from this year's Bersatu Games Victory Party and wish you all the very best of luck in all your exams!

  • Bersatu Victory Party!

Yo yo yo! How's everyone doing?

Seems like everyone's been hitting the books now since it's second semester. Regret for skipping lectures and being so slack in first semester eh? Wahahaha! Never mind! You still have plenty of time to catch up! What more... with Bersatu Games out of the way (at least for this year anyway), you'll have more time to concentrate on your studies. However, keep this coming Saturday evening available to attend the long over-due but still very necessary... BERSATU VICTORY PARTY!

That's right! It's happening THIS Saturday (4th August, 2007) at a *mystery* location (but do check back for details)! Hehe! All participants are expected to come along to this event... please? *fLuTTeR LoNg SeXy EyE LaShEs - bLiNk bLiNk*! Haha!

Bring all those special people in your life - your husband/wife... boyfriend/girlfriend... POTENTIAL boyfriend/girlfriend (*WiNk* *WiNk*!) or your wonderful supportive friends at a low cost of $5 per person. What a ridiculously low price for a whole night of fun, right?! AND... it gives you a taste of superb cooking by none other than your very own people! On the menu...

    Nasi kuning
    Ayam percik kelate
    Kari daging
    Ikan bakar with air asam
    Sambal telur
    Roti jala/jemput2
    and... dessert!!

*sLuRp*! Tempted yet? I'm sure you are! Haha! What to expect that night... As Azmir says... "eat till u die", some awards, and maybe karaoke? Either way, it should be a great night!

So let's all come together one more time to celebrate our victory!

    CMSA...............
    What's your profession?!?!
    AOOOO AOOOOOO AOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I'll leave you all with some photos from last year's victory party...

See... You could have some of these precious memories too! See you all there? ;)

CMSA wins overall cup AGAIN! :)

YES! We have done it again! We have managed to continue our winning streak to win the overall cup for the second time in a row - this time on home ground! Sing... "We are the champions!!"

Hopefully we can keep our "semangat" and make it a record 3 times next year! :) Meanwhile, let us revel in the glory of being the champions!

Congratulations to those who participated... Well done to those who helped organise... Last but not least, thank you to those who supported the team during the preparation and actual Bersatu Games 2007. I'm sure I speak for all when I say that your constant support and encouragement was priceless! Hope you all managed to keep your voices!

    Day 3 - Tuesday 3rd July:

Despite the wet and muddy ground at the Ilam Oval, touch rugby continued. After a few slaps here and there (even to the face!!), our TOUCH team still managed to come out on top to secure a GOLD medal... YAY!!

Because of the outstanding performance from these two tremendous squash players, we have bagged one more GOLD medal for Men's SQUASH and a SILVER medal for Women's SQUASH! Well done!

It was great to see so many supporters that travelled between squash, badminton and soccer despite the horrible weather towards the end of the day! Unfortunately I can only bring you photos from squash and badminton which was held in the Recreation Centre.

No doubt, the photos from soccer will be uploaded soon... once I get my hands on them anyway! Which brings me to say:

    C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S

    S O C C E R T E A M !

As for badminton, matches for either singles, doubles or mixed doubles have not finished and will continue tomorrow so if you've been dying to catch some badminton action, come along to the Recreation Centre from 9:00am - 12:00noon and then again from 2:00pm - 5:00pm in the small court to support your team! So far they've all been doing really well, having either won or drawn their games. It looks promising!

    The badminton team

Come support your team CMSA!! They need your cheerleading skills and your loud voices as most of us have already lost our voices! When CMSA is not playing, cheer for PETSOC or LMSS! They're part of Canterbury too!! PE - PE - PET - SOC!!
